I am an Independent Financial Advisor at Phillips Wealth Management, where I specialize in personal portfolio management. My passion lies in crafting portfolios that align with my clients' unique needs and risk tolerance. With over 29 years in the financial services industry, I've had the privilege of guiding countless individuals through their financial journeys.
Before founding Phillips Wealth Management, I honed my skills at Financial Dimensions Group from 2005 to 2025, Ameriprise from 1998 to 2005, and TCF Investments and Insurance from 1996 to 1998. Throughout my career, I've obtained several key designations, including CFS™ and CES™, as well as Security Licenses S7, S66, and S63, allowing me to serve clients in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, and Minnesota.
My journey into the world of finance began after I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University. I've always been an entrepreneur at heart, drawn to business, and inspired by the opportunity to help and connect with people. When I was first introduced to investing, it just clicked for me, and I've felt at home ever since. Meeting new clients is a constant source of motivation for me. I take great joy in building and managing portfolios, and I cherish the relationships I've built with my clients. They've become like family to me, and I've had the privilege of watching their families grow and evolve over the years. I firmly believe that the greatest value I can provide is offering common-sense answers to complicated questions.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in the Crystal, New Hope, and Brooklyn Park areas of Minnesota, I now reside in Albertville, MN, with my wife, Marcia, and our children, Desean, Alexis, and Addison. Outside of the office, I am an active member of the Financial Services Institute (FSI) and serve as a Youth Group Leader at Westbridge Community Church. In my free time, I love coaching, mentoring, and public speaking. I'm also a big fan of good BBQ, both cooking and eating, and enjoy spending quality time with family and friends.
